Battle of Badr Ziyarat Tour Fare

Badr was the site of the first major battle in Islamic history, fought in 2 AH (624 CE) between a small group of early Muslims and the Quraysh army of Makkah. It is referenced directly in the Quran and remains one of the most visited historical Ziyarat sites for pilgrims staying in Madinah.

A private taxi makes the roughly 2-hour drive along the Badr Historical Route comfortable, with a driver who knows the battlefield, Masjid Al-Arish and the martyrs' graves, so you can take your time at each site.

What to expect at the battlefield

The drive from Madinah follows the Badr Historical Route southwest toward Rabigh. At the site, markers and the visitor trail outline where the two armies met, with Masjid Al-Arish standing near the Prophet's command position and the martyrs' graves a short walk away.Plan for a full day: with the drive there and back, most groups spend 1 to 2 hours at the battlefield itself before returning to Madinah by evening. Mornings tend to be quieter and cooler for walking the site.

Badr was the site of the first major battle in Islamic history, fought in 2 AH (624 CE) between the early Muslims and the Quraysh of Makkah, and is referenced directly in the Quran.

The battlefield site, Masjid Al-Arish near where the Prophet (peace be upon him) directed the battle, the graves of the Muslim martyrs of Badr, and the historic Badr Wells.

Yes, most groups book it as a 6 to 7 hour round trip from Madinah, including time at the battlefield and surrounding sites.

Badr is usually booked as its own full day trip since the standard Madinah Ziyarat circuit already takes half a day, but we’re happy to discuss a combined itinerary for longer stays.
